Summer in Wilhamsburg was the first of Daniel Fuchs' three novels. Originally published in 1934, it had excellent reviews, but a very small sale In 1961, Basic Books in New York republished all three of Fuchs' novels in one volume and Fuchs was “rediscovered,” as was Henry Roth in 1964.
