When it comes to outdoor activities, activities such as doing sports, picnicking, fishing, cycling, mountaineering, trekking, boating come to mind. Clothing and equipment to accompany these activities outdoors are gaining importance today. These clothing and equipment, which have become more popular with the American public over the years, have gained importance since the 1990s, and after the 2000s, outdoor clothing and equipment has become an indispensable part of the recreational activity, especially for urban consumers, rather than a necessity. Most of the tourism and recreation activities take place in undisturbed natural areas. Sustainable use of natural resources is essential for recreational activities. It is very important for the sustainability of the activities to be done that these natural areas are not destroyed by complying with their carrying capacity. Eco-recreationists, who participate in leisure activities by putting environmental awareness at their center, buy products that are both very respectful to nature and do less harm to the world, with the sensitivity they show in their choice of outdoor clothing and equipment. The importance given to environmental problems, especially in the 1980s and 1990s, brought with it approaches such as sustainable fashion, eco fashion, green movements, slow fashion and slow design. For this reason, in this study, the sustainability of the sustainable ecological design clothing and equipment purchased by the consumers within the scope of outdoor recreation is evaluated by the consumer. It can be argued that the results of the research are guiding the producers, marketing and retail managers in the recreation and tourism industry. I hope it will be useful to all readers….
