This book, originally published on the occasion of an international carpet exhibition that took place in Istanbul in 1997 at the city's world-renown Museum of Turkish and Islamic Arts, brings together a stunning array of 163 rare carpets that were selected from the museum's legendary collection and are presented here for the first time in images of hitherto unachieved quality.
